Part of Lonnie Norwood's "Civil Rights Anthems Revisited" collection, Las Time, Chillun is based on the powerful protest song, "This May Be the last Time". The simple, final lines of the piece reflect the reluctant resolve of African American activists' to weather the storm of violent retaliation in their fight for freedom and justice, even if it costed them their lives.
